Executive Director | Marine Renewables Canada
Elisa is Executive Director with Marine Renewables Canada, a national association focused on advancing the wave, tidal, river current, and offshore wind energy sector in Canada. In her role, Elisa works with industry, suppliers, the research community, and government to foster collaboration, establish supportive policies, and facilitate technology innovation. Elisa also plays a key role in enhancing the capacity of the local supply chain and designing education and outreach activities to grow knowledge and support for marine renewable energy development.
In addition to her current role, Elisa is a director on the Offshore Energy Research Association’s Board. She has also worked for the Fundy Ocean Research Center for Energy (FORCE) as operations director, supporting FORCE’s role in catalyzing tidal energy development in Nova Scotia.
She previously worked at Nova Scotia Department of Energy as a policy analyst responsible for developing policy, regulations, and legislation for the renewable electricity sector. Earlier in her career, Elisa held roles in the private sector in communications and marketing.
Elisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Masters in Public Administration from Dalhousie University.
